Oba Abimbola Owoade was officially crowned as the 46th Alaafin of Oyo on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in a historic ceremony held at Oliveth Baptist High School, Oyo town.
The coronation, steeped in the rich culture and traditions of the ancient Oyo kingdom, was attended by a host of dignitaries, with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, leading the presentation of the new monarch to the people of Oyo and the wider world.
