Further reports indicate that the pillars of the collapsed building impacted a nearby church, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Liberty Parish, causing partial damage to its structure.
Remarkably, worshippers within the church also managed to evade harm as the building gave way.

Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed the incident and stated that the collapse occurred during the decking process.
Oke-Osanyintolu added that preliminary investigations revealed no victims were trapped under the rubble, an outcome that has been described as miraculous given the severity of the incident.
”Meanwhile, the construction yard has been cordoned off immediately,” LASEMA boss stated.
