EKO HOT BLOG reports that the situation has escalated rapidly, prompting Trump to cut short his G7 summit in Canada and return to Washington for high-level security talks.
Speaking Tuesday, Trump hinted at a possible strike, suggesting that while the U.S. could assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, it would hold off “for now.” Behind closed doors, Trump met with his National Security Council in the White House Situation Room, where discussions reportedly centered on the potential use of U.S. “bunker-buster” bombs to target Iran’s fortified Fordow nuclear facility—one Israeli forces are unlikely to reach alone.
The U.S. maintains that dismantling Iran’s nuclear program remains a top priority. Officials say Trump has not made a final decision, but his posture has shifted sharply from diplomacy to potential force. A U.S. official warned that any attack on American troops would cross a red line.
Adding to speculation, Trump has ordered the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier to the region and remains in constant contact with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has signaled interest in regime change in Tehran.
Vice President JD Vance attempted to calm concerns from Trump’s isolationist supporters, saying the president was focused solely on protecting American interests. “He has earned our trust,” Vance said.

Trump also shared a message from U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, praising him as a divinely guided leader, further signaling the gravity of the decision ahead.
