The lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency, Rep. Wale Raji, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of a prominent Islamic leader, Alhaji Chief Amuni Wahab Oladipupo, fondly known as Alhaji Double.
Ekohotblog reports that the revered Alakoso Adeen of the 1st Epe Central Mosque, Oke-Balogun, passed away at the age of 92, leaving behind a legacy steeped in faith, service, and community unity.

In a heartfelt condolence message, Rep. Raji described Alhaji Oladipupo as a “towering community icon” and a “beacon of wisdom” whose life embodied dignity, humility, and justice.
“Alhaji Oladipupo was more than a religious leader; he was a bridge builder and a symbol of peace and uprightness,” Rep. Raji said. “His words carried weight not by coercion, but by the grace of his character and the trust he built across generations.”
The lawmaker noted that Baba Oladipupo’s influence spanned both religious and civic spaces, where he consistently played the role of a moral compass, offering counsel and fostering reconciliation among people of different generations and backgrounds.
“He was a vibrant voice of reasoning, whose devotion to the unity and moral progress of our community was unmatched. This loss is not just personal to me; it is monumental to the entire Epe Division,” Raji stated.
The late cleric, widely respected for his spiritual leadership and unwavering commitment to Islamic values, was known for guiding many through life’s challenges with wisdom and compassion. His death marks the end of an era in religious and community leadership in Epe.
“As we mourn this irreplaceable loss, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, the Isale-Agoro quarters, and the 1st Epe Central Mosque.
May Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, accept his noble deeds, and grant him Aljannah Firdaus,” Rep. Raji prayed.
Alhaji Oladipupo is survived by children, grandchildren, and an extended family who continue to carry the torch of his values.
