Prominent Nollywood actor and content creator, Odira Nwobu, has survived a serious car accident that occurred on Wednesday along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that eyewitness footage from the scene, now circulating widely on social media, captured bystanders in a frantic effort to rescue victims trapped in the wreckage. The video showed Nwobu’s vehicle in a severely mangled state, with both the front and side of the car completely crushed beyond recognition.
Despite the devastating impact, Nwobu was found conscious, although visibly disoriented and covered in blood, as concerned passersby rushed to assist him. He was seen sitting by the roadside, dazed and shaken, while rescue efforts continued around him.
Sources confirmed that the accident claimed multiple lives, although the exact number of casualties remains unclear at this time. Nwobu and other survivors were quickly transported to a nearby hospital where they are currently receiving urgent medical attention.
The incident has sparked an outpouring of concern and well-wishes from fans, colleagues, and members of the Nollywood community, many of whom have taken to social media to pray for his swift recovery and to mourn the lives lost in the crash.
Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the cause of the accident or the identities of the other victims involved.
