EKO HOT BLOG reports that JAMB confirmed the date on Wednesday through a post on its official 𝕏 handle, stating that the announcement will be made during the annual policy meeting at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
“The 2025 Policy Meeting will be held on 8th July, 2025, at Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja,” the statement read. “The policy meeting is the gathering of stakeholders where policy guidelines and other relevant regulations on admission are discussed and ratified for the next academic year.”
The board emphasized that the meeting is strictly by invitation but encouraged the public to follow live updates on JAMB’s official social media platforms.
The meeting will bring together key figures in the education sector, including vice-chancellors, rectors, provosts, and other regulatory officials, to deliberate on critical decisions that will shape the upcoming admission cycle.
A major highlight of the policy meeting will be the determination of the minimum Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scores required for entry into various tertiary institutions.
JAMB also disclosed that the forum will set the admission timelines, including deadlines for applications, screenings, and registrations for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Top-performing candidates in the 2025 UTME will also be recognized and celebrated during the event.

The policy meeting is a key part of Nigeria’s admission process and serves as the foundation for admission activities across the country’s higher institutions.
