“On arrival, troops secured the area and arrested the suspect who was found in possession of items suspected to be 36 hand grenades,” a source disclosed.
The suspect, identified as a native of Osun State but resident in Ikorodu, is currently in custody as investigations continue. Authorities are yet to fully verify the nature of the recovered items.

Following the arrest, event organisers and participants in the area were briefed and advised to remain calm but vigilant, while reporting any suspicious activities to security agencies.
The suspect and the recovered materials have since been handed over for further investigation as security operatives work to determine the origin and intended use of the items.
