The Nigeria Police Force has launched an investigation into a disturbing viral video showing a woman feeding an alcoholic drink to a child.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the clip, which has been widely circulated on social media and seen by Naija News, captured the woman, believed to be the child’s mother, giving the young boy alcohol. She reportedly claimed she gave him the drink to help him sleep at night.
Reacting to the footage, the police described the act as illegal and dangerous, confirming that an urgent investigation is underway to locate the woman involved.
In a statement shared via X, the police called on the public to assist in the investigation. “We are aware of this distressing video and are investigating urgently. Exposing a child to alcohol is illegal and dangerous,” the statement read.
The police also appealed directly to the social media user who posted the video, known as #ChuksEricE, and urged anyone with useful information to come forward to aid the swift arrest of the woman.
“They can reach out to us on 09169967000. The child’s safety is our priority,” the police emphasized.
In a separate development, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a notorious drug trafficker identified as Ajetsibo Emami, popularly known as ‘Warri Kinsman’, in Lagos.
NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, confirmed the arrest in a statement issued on Sunday. According to Babafemi, Emami was apprehended on Saturday, June 28, in the Ikeja area while attempting to transport a drug consignment to Lekki.

Acting on credible intelligence, NDLEA operatives intercepted the suspected trafficker and three others. During the operation, authorities seized 24 jumbo bags containing 681 pouches of Canadian Loud, a highly potent cannabis strain, weighing 414.2 kilograms.
The NDLEA has since intensified efforts to dismantle the drug network linked to the suspect.
