President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently holding a meeting with the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun; the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu; and the Minister of State for Petroleum (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that other attendees include the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Zacch Adedeji.

The meeting is taking place on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Although the agenda has not been disclosed, a source within the presidency told Vanguard that it is a routine session during which ministers and key officials provide updates to the President on developments within their respective offices.
The ministers, along with the CBN governor and the FIRS chairman, arrived separately.

It is worth noting that four tax bills recently signed into law by President Tinubu are scheduled to come into effect in January 2026.
It is expected that the FIRS chairman will brief the President on strategies for implementing the new tax laws.
The CBN is also likely to update the President on matters related to the nation’s fiscal and monetary policies.
Additionally, the Ministers of Finance and Budget and Economic Planning are expected to provide briefings on the current state of the economy.
