Dangote Cement has announced that its founder and majority shareholder, Aliko Dangote, has retired from his position as Chairman of the Board.

Chiejina explained that Dangote decided to step down in order to focus more on the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.

In the wake of his retirement, the Board has named Emmanuel Ikazoboh, an independent non-executive director, as the new chairman.
