EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Premier League side has initiated discussions with PSG over a potential deal for the 26-year-old Italian, who has just one year left on his contract. United are seeking to bring in a more reliable presence in goal following inconsistent performances from current number one, Andre Onana.
Onana, who joined from Inter Milan in 2023 for £47.1 million, has come under fire after two seasons marked by costly errors. His form has raised concerns among the club’s hierarchy, prompting the search for a new first-choice keeper capable of bringing composure and consistency to the backline.

Donnarumma, who moved to PSG in 2021, is reportedly open to a new challenge after four seasons in France. Although his contract situation makes him an attractive target, the deal is expected to be financially demanding. PSG are likely to demand a sizeable transfer fee, and Donnarumma’s wage expectations are said to be significant.
Sources close to the negotiations say that while United remain eager to land the Euro 2020-winning shot-stopper, they face stiff competition from several top European clubs. Furthermore, meeting PSG’s valuation and the goalkeeper’s personal terms may pose complications.
Talks are ongoing as United assess the feasibility of the deal amid ongoing squad reshuffle plans.
