- PDP Sets Timetable for 13 States’ New Executive Election, Slated for September

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has unveiled its schedule for the 2025 party congresses across 13 states.
According to Eko Hot Blog, timetable was shared by the party’s National Organizing Secretary, Hon. Umar M. Bature, via his official X account on Friday.

According to the released schedule, the PDP will commence the election of new party executives at the ward, local government, and state levels starting September 2025.

The states included in the exercise are Adamawa, Borno, Edo, Kebbi, Kwara, Ondo, Oyo, Kogi, Lagos, Niger, Plateau, and Cross River.
The process will kick off with a membership registration drive for both new and returning members, running from Friday, August 1 to Saturday, August 30, 2025.
This will be followed by the sale of nomination and ad-hoc forms, which will take place between Monday, August 18 and Friday, August 29.
Hon. Bature emphasized that “the timeline allows all aspiring candidates ample opportunity to obtain nomination forms, with the deadline for submission set for Friday, September 5.”
The PDP’s congress timetable continues with ward congresses scheduled for Saturday, September 13, during which ward executives and three ad-hoc delegates will be elected. Appeals arising from these congresses will be addressed on Wednesday, September 17.
Local government congresses will follow on Saturday, September 20, to elect local government executives and national delegates. Appeals from the LGA congresses are slated for Wednesday, September 24.

The final stage, the state congresses, will be held on Saturday, September 27, to elect the new state executives. Appeals related to the state congresses will be considered on Wednesday, September 30.
