Executive Director, Customer Centricity & Marketing, Galaxy Backbone (BB) Limited, Hon. Segun Olulade, popularly known as Eleniyan, has called for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027, citing significant reforms and development strides in his first two years in office.
Galaxy Backbone (BB) Limited is an agency under the Federal Ministry of Communications & Digital Economy.
In a sarcasm-laden article titled “Why Tinubu Must Go… In 2027”, Olulade, a former member of the Lagos House of Assembly, dismissed criticisms of the Tinubu administration, arguing instead that the president’s policies had delivered measurable progress, particularly in education, power, infrastructure, and the economy.

He pointed to the stability in public tertiary education, noting that Nigerian universities have remained open without strikes for two consecutive academic years. He also praised the introduction of direct financial support for students.
“Let’s start from the education sector — that graveyard of abandoned dreams. For the first time in living memory, public universities have stayed open for two full academic years. Not one single ASUU strike,” the politician wrote sarcastically.
“I mean, what kind of Nigerian president does that? How dare he keep students in class, giving them a reason to hope again? Doesn’t he know idleness is the only thing that keeps some political careers alive?”

In the power sector, Olulade highlighted the addition of 1,500 megawatts to the national grid and the deployment of solar power to 22 federal universities and teaching hospitals.
The founder of the Eleniyancares Leadership Foundation defended the controversial Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project, describing it as a transformative initiative with long-term economic benefits for nine states. He also commended Tinubu’s reception of Nigeria’s women’s football team, the Super Falcons, after their African Cup of Nations victory.
Also taking aim at opposition figures, the former lawmaker criticised Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who recently defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Datti Baba-Ahmed, the 2023 vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), for sending their children to foreign universities despite owning institutions in Nigeria.
Olulade also accused Peter Obi, the 2023 LP presidential candidate of hypocrisy for promoting local manufacturing while allegedly relying on foreign imports in his businesses.
He further accused opposition figures of inciting division through their rhetoric, while praising Tinubu for preaching national unity and avoiding inflammatory statements.

On the economy, he cited a 3.4% GDP growth rate in 2024—the second highest in a decade—as well as over $40 billion in new investments, clearance of FX backlogs, and the removal of fuel subsidies. He also noted that the federal government had paid off $7 billion in debts owed to foreign investors and reduced the budget deficit.
In Olulade’s words, “Nigeria is finally under reconstruction, and it’s paining them [the president’s opponents.”
