A fresh wave of promotions under Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has sparked controversy, with critics alleging regional favoritism.
Of the 37 officers elevated under “special consideration,” 30 are reportedly of Yoruba origin, raising concerns over ethnic imbalance in the Nigeria Police Force.
