Chelsea 18-year-old winger, Estevao Willian has revealed his football heroes who inspired his decision to join The Blues after he was unveiled to the Chelsea fans this week.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Chelsea made a deal with Palmeiras for the youngster in June 2024 when he was 17. Though he couldn’t complete his move to England due to FIFA regulations till he turned 18 in April 2025.

Estevao Willian, considered one of the futures of the Brazilian national team, was formally unveiled as a Chelsea player on Tuesday night following his long-awaited arrival for Palmeiras. Before his move to the premier league, Estevao performed impressively at Brazil, having featured in 83 games with 42 goal contributions for Palmeiras.
Speaking during his unveiling, Estevao opened up on the inspiration behind his reason to sign for Chelsea, citing the club legend, Eden Hazard as his role model and most watched player at the club.
‘’Eden Hazard is the one that I watched the most at Chelsea. He’s ace,’’ he told the official website.
Hazard surprised the Chelsea supporters during his time at the Stamford Bridge with his creativity and dribbling skills. The Belgian left a lasting impact on the next generation and Estevao is ready to follow his footsteps at Chelsea.
However, Estevao also recognized the achievement of Brazillian players who have done exceptionally well in the blue shirt.
“It’s a pleasure to be here where so many Brazillians made history,” he said, drawing attention to title-winning players like David Luiz and Ramires.
Also, the younger revealed Former Chelsea Defender, Thiago Silva offered words of encouragement when they both met during a match towards the end of last year.
“After I had signed for Chelsea and in the final game of 2024, I played against Thiago Silva. He came and talked to me,” he said. “He said I was going to love the club, which has an incredible structure and is an club. And now, I can see how amazing this club is.”
