At the launch, 9mobile CEO Femi Banigbe stated that the company has not only reinvented itself but also emerged stronger and ready to compete effectively in Nigeria’s telecom sector.
“We have rebounded and are fully prepared to deliver exceptional service to our customers. This rebranding is not just about a new name or logo; it represents a renewed commitment to excellence and superior customer experience,” Banigbe said.

He added that with this transformation, T2 aims to strengthen its market position, challenge competitors, and ensure top-quality service for its subscribers.
Commenting on the new brand, Dr. Tijani described the investment as worthwhile, noting that the company is a significant partner in driving Nigeria’s digital economy. He stressed that the rebrand should be seen as an investment for the entire nation, not just for the company.
The minister also encouraged the management of the new telecom operator to make the rebranding more innovative so customers can enjoy a reliable network.
