EKO HOT BLOG reports that the incident occurred around 2 a.m. on Sunday when operatives of the EFCC Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 stormed the OOPL Rounda fun spot during the Wet & Rave Splash Extravaganza party. The operation led to the arrest of 93 youths, the seizure of 18 vehicles, and several mobile devices. A viral video from the scene showed guests fleeing in panic as gunshots rang out.
According to the EFCC, the raid was based on “credible intelligence” alleging the involvement of attendees in internet-related crimes.
However, OOPL Ventures Managing Director, Vitalis Ortese, condemned the raid, describing it as an “invasion of private property” and a “blatant violation” of the rights of those present. He alleged that the operation, led by an official identified as “Olapade”, caused chaos and injuries among participants.

Ortese said the event had been publicly advertised and that both the police stationed at the OOPL gates and those from Kemta Police Station requested by the organisers were not informed of the EFCC operation. He also claimed that the operatives did not present any warrant during the raid.
The management demanded an explanation and an apology from the EFCC, warning that it would seek legal redress if the commission failed to respond.
“Failure for which the management will be compelled to seek redress and sanctions as appropriate,” the statement read.
