The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a suspected armed robber believed to be a member of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Eko Hot Blog reports that the reports that the suspect was apprehended at Umuazu village, Nise, in Awka South Local Government Area.

Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, announced the arrest in a statement on Sunday in Awka.
“Operatives of the Anambra Police Command’s Special Anti-Cultism Squad, Enugwu-Ukwu, in the early hours of 10 August, arrested one Charles Chinonso, aged 32,” Ikenga said.

He explained that the arrest followed a complaint from a victim who reported that a vehicle had been snatched at the World Bank Housing Area in Owerri West LGA, Imo State.
According to him, police operatives, acting on credible technological intelligence, traced the vehicle’s location and arrested the suspect
