The initiative was organised in partnership with the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) and a non-governmental organisation, targeting youths, women, and vulnerable groups.
Olori Ogunsanwo said the programme was aimed at creating opportunities for financial independence among residents.
“We believe that equipping people with tools is only effective when there is dedication and willingness to work. This initiative is an investment in our people’s future,” she said.

The Alara of Ilara commended his wife’s efforts and urged beneficiaries to use the tools to improve their livelihoods.
“No fewer than 300 residents benefitted from this empowerment programme. My advice is for them to make the best use of the equipment provided for self-sustenance,” the monarch said.
Some beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the gesture. Mrs. Aisha Adepoju, who received a sewing machine, said it would help expand her tailoring business.
The coronation anniversary celebrations will continue on Saturday, Aug. 16, with the conferment of chieftaincy titles on notable personalities.
