Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, earlier in Saturday casted his ballot at Osanyin Ward 3, Unit 002, in Iperu during the ongoing by-election for the Remo Federal Constituency.
Eko Hot Blog reports that shortly after voting, the governor expressed satisfaction with how the electoral process was unfolding, applauding the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its preparedness and smooth handling of the exercise.

“I have just exercised my right to vote and I am encouraged by the reports that electoral materials arrived on time this morning,” Abiodun said.
“The turnout is impressive, and the voting is proceeding peacefully. Although the BVAS machines took a bit longer to register some voters, possibly due to the weather, the overall process is going well,” he added.

The governor thanked INEC for consistently improving its services over the years, noting that there have been no incidents of violence or disturbances.
Meanwhile, security agencies deployed a significant number of personnel in strategic locations across Sagamu, Ikenne, and Remo North Local Government Areas to ensure a peaceful and orderly election.
Observers at the polling units confirmed a steady voter turnout with visible security presence aimed at maintaining calm throughout the day.
