EKO HOT BLOG reports that the viral Facebook post alleged that Ohameze had been suffering from a stroke for more than two decades, claiming that only his daughter cared for him while his sons allegedly abandoned him.
The post was widely circulated, quoting fabricated remarks attributed to the actor.
Reacting, Ohameze insisted that the story was entirely fabricated. He confirmed that the Nigeria Police and the Department of State Services (DSS) have been alerted, stressing that he would not allow his name and career to be smeared for the sake of cheap publicity.
“I have initiated a police case. I have sent the number and name of the person behind this to them. This is cybercrime. I also called my friend in the DSS. It has cost me so much to build my name, I won’t let anyone rubbish it for traffic,” he said.
The actor expressed frustration at repeated false reports about his health and life, recalling earlier instances where rumours falsely claimed he had died. He questioned why those behind such stories never attempted to verify information before publishing damaging content.

“Why don’t you call me to confirm? Now, you have smeared my name globally. I had to call my children, and thankfully, only my daughter had seen it. Why would people do this to me?” he added.
