EKO HOT BLOG reports that when the liver is under strain, it often gives warning signs before more severe complications set in.
Unfortunately, many people ignore these signals until the damage becomes advanced. Recognizing early symptoms is crucial for timely intervention and better health.
1. Constant Fatigue and Weakness
When the liver struggles to process toxins effectively, the body becomes overworked, leaving you feeling tired even after resting. Chronic fatigue is one of the earliest indicators of liver trouble.
2. Yellowing of the Eyes or Skin (Jaundice)
A buildup of bilirubin, a yellow pigment in the blood, can cause the skin and eyes to appear yellow. Jaundice is a strong sign of liver dysfunction and should never be ignored.
3. Swelling in the Abdomen or Legs
Liver disease can lead to fluid buildup, particularly in the legs, ankles, and stomach area. This condition, known as ascites, is often linked to advanced liver damage.
4. Unexplained Weight Loss or Loss of Appetite
When the liver is unhealthy, digestion and nutrient absorption become difficult. This can result in sudden weight loss, loss of appetite, or constant nausea.
5. Dark Urine and Pale Stool
Changes in urine or stool color can signal liver issues. Dark urine may indicate excess bilirubin, while pale stool shows problems with bile production.

6. Itchy or Irritated Skin
Persistent itching without a clear cause can be linked to bile buildup in the bloodstream, another warning of poor liver function.
7. Easy Bruising and Bleeding
The liver produces proteins that help blood clot. When it’s compromised, you may bruise or bleed more easily than usual.
