The Lagos State Ferry Services (LAGFERRY) has announced a major milestone, transporting over three million passengers in the last five years. The company’s Managing Director, Abdoulbaq Balogun, revealed the achievement at its 2025 Strategic Management Retreat, themed “Advancing Water Transportation for a Sustainable Lagos.”
According to Eko Hot Blog, Balogun noted that since its re-launch in February 2020, LAGFERRY has played a major role in easing the notorious road congestion in Lagos. He attributed the success to the strong support of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who has enabled the addition of 14 new boats, bringing the total fleet to 19.
