Interestingly, Shimawua had been among lawmakers earlier suspended under Dajoh’s leadership before the latter stepped down as Speaker last Friday.

Speaker of the House, Hon. Alfred Berger, who presided over the session, announced Dajoh’s suspension, noting that the initial suggestion of a six-month suspension was reviewed to three months.
The decision was reached without going through the traditional voting process.
