President Bola Tinubu has directed an immediate review of security operations in Katsina State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement released Tuesday by his Senior Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the president reaffirmed his commitment to tackling banditry by deploying modern military equipment and surveillance technology.

Tinubu described Nigeria’s security challenges as solvable and assured citizens that his administration is actively exploring the creation of state police, along with plans to strengthen forest guards to enhance security at the grassroots level.
He emphasized the importance of having security personnel who are familiar with local terrains and cultures and ordered that security agencies provide daily updates on developments in the state.

“The security challenges we are facing can be overcome. I have instructed all security agencies to intensify efforts and review their strategies. We have also approved the acquisition of additional drones,” Tinubu said.
He added that his government is conducting a comprehensive review of the nation’s security architecture, including the potential establishment of state police forces.
