The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, will celebrate his 10th anniversary on the throne with an eight-day event in November and December.
According to Eko Hot Blog reports, the celebration, themed “Ten Years of Ase: A Reign of Peace, Culture and Unity,” will highlight the monarch’s significant contributions over the last decade.

Since ascending the throne in 2015, the Ooni has championed initiatives focused on peace-building, youth empowerment, and cultural diplomacy.
He has played a pivotal role in reconnecting the Yoruba diaspora with their heritage, strengthening bonds with communities across the Americas and the Caribbean.

Beyond cultural ties, the Ooni has also focused on economic empowerment. His businesses, including the Inagbe Cocowood factory and the Ojajamore Shopping Malls, have created employment for over 3,000 young Nigerians.
The anniversary festival will feature a blend of cultural displays, academic conferences, and socio-economic summits. It is expected to attract world leaders, monarchs, and scholars, transforming Ile-Ife into a hub for African heritage and global unity.
