Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has called on all Nigerians to embrace peace and unity as the nation celebrates Eid-el-Maulud, a festival commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a goodwill message released by his spokesperson, Monday Uzor, the governor congratulated Muslims across the state and the country, highlighting the Prophet’s life and teachings as a vital guide.

Governor Nwifuru encouraged everyone to use the occasion for deep reflection, renewing their faith and commitment to the values of love, peace, and compassion that the Prophet exemplified. He urged citizens to unite in prayers for peace and prosperity for both Ebonyi State and Nigeria.
“I urge everyone to observe the festivities with humility, charity, and brotherhood,” Nwifuru said, emphasizing the need to follow the noble traditions of their faith.
The governor also took the opportunity to reaffirm his administration’s commitment to serving all residents equally, assuring them that his government will implement policies and programs to improve their well-being without any form of bias.
He praised the Muslim community in Ebonyi for their peaceful coexistence and urged them to continue their valuable contributions to the state’s progress and development.
