Comptroller Queen Obazee has officially taken over as the 28th Customs Area Controller for the Nigeria Customs Service, Ondo/Ekiti Area Command.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Aondoakura Dzungwenen, on September 3, the Customs Service announced the leadership change. During the handover ceremony, Obazee pledged to drive major reforms in her new role.

Obazee outlined four key pillars for her tenure: revenue assurance, security and supply-chain protection, anti-smuggling supremacy, and trade facilitation excellence. She promised to “institutionalise a zero-leakage culture” and to conduct “intelligence-led operations.”

She also assured compliant stakeholders of a more enabling trade environment. “We will deepen industry outreach, reward compliance, and ensure that our operations are planned for impact,” she said.
Acting Deputy Comptroller of Administration, Moses Uchegbu, welcomed the new Customs boss on behalf of the officers and assured her of their full cooperation to sustain the momentum.
The ceremony concluded with goodwill messages from stakeholders, who anticipate a tenure that will boost revenue generation and enhance security and trade in Ondo and Ekiti states.
