EKO HOT BLOG reports that Trump was accompanied by his wife Melania. They landed at London Stansted Airport aboard Air Force One. Shortly after, the couple boarded a Marine One helicopter headed for central London.
The Trumps are spending the night at Winfield House, the official residence of the American ambassador in the UK, located near Regent’s Park in the capital city.
President Trump will be officially welcomed by King Charles III at Windsor Castle, marking the ceremonial start of the two-day visit.
A royal guard of honour and a private meeting with the King were part of the welcome activities.
The visit will continue on Thursday, with Trump scheduled to meet UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Chequers, the prime minister’s countryside retreat.
This visit is significant as it makes Trump the first U.S. president ever to be invited for a second state visit to the UK.
