Troops have intercepted a huge supply cache meant for terrorists in Yobe State.
The Joint Task Force (JTF) North East under Operation HADIN KAI, acting on credible intelligence, stopped a red 14-tyre trailer on September 16, 2025, around 7:40 a.m. along Nguru–Gashua road in Yobe State. The vehicle was discovered to be hauling suspicious goods.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that after moving the trailer to a secured location and conducting a careful inspection, soldiers found 700 bags of NPK 20:10:10 fertilizer (used in making improvised explosive devices), 27 cartons of assorted drugs, and nine cartons of normal saline all hidden underneath fabric materials.
Earlier that morning, other interceptions were made on the same route: two Sharon buses and another trailer were also stopped carrying large quantities of fabric and solar panels. Intelligence suggests these materials were to be used for sewing uniforms for terrorist fighters and powering their hideouts.
All drivers, motor boys, and the recovered items are currently in custody. Further investigation is ongoing to identify both the senders and recipients of the consignment.
The Theatre Command of Operation HADIN KAI affirmed that the consignment was destined for Niger Republic, pointing to active cross-border networks feeding terrorists. Military authorities praised the operation as a significant win in cutting off logistics that enable insurgent operations.
Security forces urged local communities to continue sharing useful intelligence that could lead to more disruptions of such supply lines. They also assured the public that similar operations will be sustained until terrorist groups are deprived of their means to operate.
