The death toll among newly sworn-in female council officials in Lagos has risen to three following the passing of Princess Oluremi Nutayi Ajose, Vice Chairman of Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
Eko Hot Blog reports that Ajose’s death comes barely two months after she took office alongside Council Chairman, Hon. Rauf Ibrahim Kayode Yemaren, popularly known as RIKAY.

Sources confirmed that her body has been deposited at the morgue, though the cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
Her demise follows those of: Oluwakemi Rufai, Councillor for Ward C1, Ibeju-Lekki LGA, who died two weeks after being sworn in, Zainab Adeshewa Shotayo, youngest councillor of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, representing Ward C3, who died after a brief illness just weeks after inauguration.
