The Golden Ten of Lagos (G10), a grassroots NGO committed to education and community development, has donated a television set to pupils of RCM Primary School, Odomola, in response to the school’s request for improved learning facilities.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the President of G10, Mr. Adekoya Idris Adebambo, described the gesture as part of the organisation’s mission to invest in the future of children and promote quality education.
“Education is light and the key to success. When the school authority reached out to us for help with a television set, we knew we had to respond.
We believe in supporting young minds because they are the future leaders of tomorrow,” Adebambo said.
Vice President of the NGO, Mr. Adekunle Rasheed, also noted that the group’s interventions go beyond donations to schools.
“Over time, we have engaged in different community projects, from cutting grasses in schools, drilling boreholes, cleaning markets and palaces, to supporting the less privileged with food items and taking roaming pupils back to school.
Our mission is to make a difference in every corner of Odomola and beyond,” he said.
The Welfare Director, Mrs. Abosede Muraino, added that G10’s activities are driven by collective sacrifice and a sense of duty to society.
“We do these things because we know our little contributions today can change lives tomorrow. Service to humanity is our guiding principle,” she emphasized.
The donation was carried out by members of the organisation, including Mr. Abiodun Ajayi, Mrs. Yetunde Kazeem, Mr. Lateef Bunkola, Mr. Adebowale Taofeek, and Mr. Gbolade Demola, alongside the executive team.
G10 operates from its office opposite the palace of the Oba of Odomola and meets every Saturday between 7am and 10am to plan its initiatives.
The head teacher of RCM Primary School, who received the donation on behalf of the pupils, expressed gratitude to the group.
“This television set will greatly aid our teaching and learning process. We are deeply thankful to G10 for responding to our call,” she said.
