Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, has joined Nigerians in celebrating World Teachers’ Day, paying glowing tribute to educators as the “true architects of society’s future.”
Eko Hot Blog reports that in his message, Senator Abiru praised teachers for their patience, resilience, and unwavering commitment to shaping young minds and nurturing excellence.
He reaffirmed that quality education begins with empowered teachers, noting that his interventions through The SAIL Empowerment Foundation have been deliberately structured to invest in educators.

“Through the Teachers’ Fellowship, 6,417 teachers in Lagos East and across Nigeria have been upskilled in modern teaching methodologies such as Inquiry-Based Learning,” Abiru stated.
He also highlighted ongoing efforts at the SAIL Innovation Lab in Ipakodo, where students from public schools are being exposed early to 3D technology, robotics, digital creativity, Data Science, Tech Talent Development, and Advanced Digital Marketing.
The Senator further pointed to the construction and renovation of schools across Lagos East, aimed at improving access to education and enhancing learning outcomes.
“To every teacher in Lagos East and across Nigeria, thank you for your patience, your resilience, and your unyielding commitment to excellence.
You are the backbone of our nation’s progress, and your impact will continue to resonate for generations,” he affirmed.
