Dangote’s Okpella Cement Limited achieved a major success, earning the Integrated Management System (IMS) Certification.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) conferred this certification following a comprehensive audit that recognized the company’s commitment to quality, environmental care, and workplace safety.

Plant Director Engr. Mohammed Ismaeel described the certification as proof of the company’s dedication to global best practices.
He noted the IMS journey transformed the plant’s management into a cohesive system meeting international standards for quality, environmental stewardship, and occupational health and safety.

Ismaeel stressed the certification reflects their vision to become a global leader in cement manufacturing, respected for product quality and ethical conduct. He highlighted the benefits: global recognition, waste reduction, better product quality, and strengthened regulatory compliance.
Mr. Anil Rao, Head of Quality Control and IMS Team Lead, presented the certificate. He confirmed the milestone strengthens Okpella Cement’s competitive position and strategically positions it as a global leader.

He explained the IMS certification aligns the company with three international standards: Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).
