The Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Bamalli, officially turbaned former Vice-President Namadi Sambo as the Sardauna Zazzau on Saturday in Zaria.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that speaking at his palace, Emir Bamalli explained that his predecessor, the late Alhaji Shehu Idris, originally conferred the Sardauna title on Sambo in 2014.

However, the Emirate could not hold the coronation ceremony until now.

Bamalli praised Sambo’s exemplary leadership, significant contributions to national development, and dedication to humanitarian causes.
The Emir expressed confidence that the new Sardauna Zazzau will continue to promote peace, unity, and progress within the Emirate and beyond.

He specifically prayed that Sambo would continue to serve as a bridge builder between the Zazzau Emirate and his extensive network of contacts.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan, along with several current and former governors, traditional and religious leaders, top government officials, and political figures, attended the high-profile ceremony.
