Eko Hot Blog reports that the Epe Division Professional Women Association (EPWA) rounded off its week-long 10th Anniversary Celebration with glamour and recognition of distinguished personalities, including Hon. Princess (Dr.) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government; Hon. Abiodun Tobun, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Epe Constituency I; Mr. Jaja, and Hon. Olabode Gabadeen, for their unwavering commitment to the growth and progress of Epe Division.

The grand finale, held at Regent Haven, Oloja Estate, Epe, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, also featured the empowerment of 20 youths across Epe Division with ₦200,000 each to support their education, business, and vocational pursuits.
Speaking at the event, the President of EPWA, Mrs. Folake Oluyemi Johnson, expressed her appreciation to the honourees for their continuous support toward community development.
“These individuals have not only demonstrated leadership but have consistently shown love and passion for humanity. Their efforts have continued to inspire us to do more,” she said.
In her remarks, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun praised the association for its dedication to women and youth empowerment, noting that EPWA’s impact over the past decade has been visible across the division.
“EPWA has become a household name for empowerment and community service in Epe Division. Their consistency in building people, especially women and the girl child, deserves commendation,” she stated.
Hon. Abiodun Tobun, while expressing gratitude for the recognition, lauded the association for its humanitarian work.
“I must commend EPWA for the good job they are doing, especially the ₦200,000 empowerment given to women, young business ladies, and students.

The fact that these are done through self-taxation shows a deep sense of sacrifice and service to humanity,” he said.
Similarly, Hon. Olabode Gabadeen appreciated the association for recognizing his contributions and urged more collaboration toward community development.
“No single person can build Epe alone. It takes collective effort, and EPWA is showing that unity and shared vision can make a real difference,” he added.
Jaja representative ( Chief of Staff Ibeju lekki LG)also thanked EPWA for the honour, describing the association as a beacon of hope in the division.

The grand celebration was attended by several dignitaries, traditional leaders, and community members who commended EPWA for sustaining its mission of service, empowerment, and advocacy over the past ten years.
