The Epe Local Government has continued its drive to improve access to quality healthcare with the successful implementation of its Monthly Integrated Health Outreach across the riverine communities of Olugbokere, Isan and Mayunre.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the outreach, held on July 31, 2026, provided residents with a wide range of free medical services aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and improving the overall well-being of people living in hard-to-reach areas.
Beneficiaries received routine immunisation, family planning services, malaria testing and treatment, blood pressure and blood sugar screening, treatment for minor ailments, health education, Vitamin A supplementation, tetanus toxoid vaccination for pregnant women, as well as referral services for cases requiring further medical attention.
The initiative reflects the commitment of the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, to strengthening primary healthcare delivery and ensuring that residents, regardless of their geographical location, have access to essential medical services.
The council noted that the monthly outreach has become a vital intervention in bridging healthcare gaps within riverine communities, while encouraging residents to embrace preventive healthcare through regular medical check-ups and timely immunisation.
By taking healthcare directly to underserved communities, the local government continues to improve health outcomes, reduce preventable diseases and support the well-being of women, children and other vulnerable groups.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining the outreach programme as part of broader efforts to build a healthier population and enhance access to quality healthcare services across Epe Local Government.
