In a deliberate effort to improve access to quality education and ensure the safety of pupils, the Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has provided two brand-new school buses to convey pupils to and from school daily.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the initiative is part of the administration’s ongoing commitment to supporting education and easing the transportation challenges faced by schoolchildren in the community.
Speaking during the official presentation of the buses, Engr. Kasali emphasized that the gesture reflects his administration’s resolve to prioritize the welfare of children and invest in their future.
According to him, “Education remains the bedrock of development. These buses are not just vehicles; they are a means of ensuring that our pupils get to school safely, on time, and with comfort. When we make learning easier, we build a better tomorrow.”

Among the pupils who expressed their appreciation was Alaba Sofia, a primary school student, who joyfully said, “I am very happy because the bus helps me come to school every day without stress.”

Similarly, Kolawole Oluwapelumi, a student of Lekki High School, thanked the Chairman for the kind gesture, noting that “not every parent can afford daily transportation, and this makes some students miss school often. But now, we can come regularly without worrying.”
Teachers also commended the Chairman’s foresight, describing the initiative as timely and impactful. A teacher remarked, “This shows that our Chairman truly cares about education and understands what our pupils need to succeed.”
Residents and parents have equally applauded the project, calling it another milestone in the Chairman’s commitment to human capital development and grassroots transformation.
Step by step, Engr. Rasaki Kasali continues to set a new benchmark for proactive and people-focused governance in Lekki LCDA.
