According to him, the Local Government has established a community security team, Folumo, actively collaborating with the Police to enhance security.
“Our community-based security initiative, Folumo, continues to work hand-in-hand with the Police to curb crime and maintain peace,” he said.
“We are encouraged by the CP’s leadership and the progress recorded in securing Lagos State.”
Traditional rulers present also commended the Commissioner for his swift response to security concerns and consistent efforts in tackling crime across the state.
The Area Commander urged residents to remain peaceful and united, emphasizing that community cooperation is essential for sustained safety and social order.
Similarly, the CDC Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki, Hon. Adeboye Jabita, pledged community support, affirming that residents are committed to reporting suspicious activities for prompt action.
Addressing stakeholders, CP Olohundare reaffirmed his determination to strengthen security operations within Ibeju-Lekki and Lagos State.
He announced the formation of a tactical squad and sought the council’s support in providing a suitable base for their deployment.
“We will not tolerate land grabbers, cultists, or criminal elements disrupting the peace of Ibeju-Lekki,” he warned. “The Police will deepen digital policing, enforce discipline, and eliminate all forms of corruption.”
He revealed the establishment of an Anti-Cultism Unit, directed Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to intensify patrols, and called for stronger synergy between law enforcement and traditional leadership.
He also urged the Arewa community to discourage members from taking laws into their own hands.

To reassure residents of transparency and accessibility, the Police Commissioner shared his direct contact number — 08032569029 — for security-related complaints.
