As part of its commitment to inclusive governance and broad-based community engagement, Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on Tuesday convened a Stakeholders’ Consultative Forum to collate the inputs, needs, and expectations of residents ahead of the 2026 fiscal year. The interactive programme took place at the LCDA Secretariat in Agbowa.

He stated, “When residents contribute their ideas, the policies we implement truly reflect the needs of the people we serve.”
In her address, the Head of Budget and Planning, Mrs. Aremu Olufunmilayo Grace, welcomed attendees and explained the purpose of the forum.
“We are here to listen,” she said. “Every submission made today will be documented and carefully integrated into the 2026 budget process.”
Delivering his welcome address, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, highlighted major accomplishments recorded since the beginning of his second term, noting that the performance of the 2025 budget was strengthened by continuous community consultations.
“Our achievements this year are evidence that inclusive governance works,” he said. “We will continue to prioritize sustainable development, infrastructure expansion, mobility improvements, and the overall welfare of our people.”
He also expressed gratitude to stakeholders for their unwavering support.
“Your contributions remain pivotal to the progress we are making.
Together, we will continue to build a stronger and more prosperous Ikosi-Ejinrin,” he assured.
The interactive session allowed residents, community leaders, and various interest groups to openly present their requests and recommendations.
Issues raised included road rehabilitation, security enhancement, improved health services, youth empowerment, expanded mobility infrastructure, and broader community welfare interventions.
The forum attracted a wide array of participants, including the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Dehinsilu; Former Chairman, Hon. Samson Onanuga; Apex Leader, Otunba Nurudeen Yusuf; Chief Gabriel Agbabiaka; Madam S.B. Adekoya; Hon. Anthony Ajewole; Mrs. Funmilayo Ikudaisi; Alh. Wasiu Bakare; Former Executive Secretary, Hon. Sulaimon Yusuf; Councillors; Party leaders; Gazetted Chiefs; Baales; Security Chiefs; CDC/CDA Executives; Religious Leaders; Market Leaders; Artisans; Youth groups; and Students’ associations.
The engagement ended on a positive note, with stakeholders commending the administration for its openness and consistency in integrating community voices into governance.
A participant, Madam Adekoya, said, “This administration listens, and that alone gives us confidence that our community is moving in the right direction.”
