Eko Hot Blog reports that news of Nwobu’s passing emerged on Monday after fellow content creator Awuzie Frankline shared the tragic update on Facebook.

Frankline posted a video showing the actor lying motionless, though the cause of death was not revealed.
According to a report, Nwobu passed away just hours after a night out at a club in South Africa over the weekend. A member of his team also confirmed his death via phone call.

Visibly devastated, Frankline expressed his grief in multiple posts, writing, “God, why! Odira, why leave us? The call I just received broke me. Odiegwu.” He recalled seeing Nwobu vibrant and lively only hours before.
“You were full of life in South Africa, and your thanksgiving service just a few months ago was full of joy. How could you return lifeless? I am drowning in tears. Death is cruel,” he added.

Comedian Evan Okoro also reacted to the news, sharing a photo of Nwobu with the caption: “How? No… I can’t believe this. Nooooo.”
Known for his comedic skits and roles in Nollywood productions, Nwobu had steadily gained popularity both online and on screen.
