Nollywood blockbuster Behind The Scenes has broken major box office records after raking in ₦512 million, making it the highest-earning Nigerian film of 2025 so far.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the movie premiered with exclusive screenings on December 10 and 11 before hitting cinemas nationwide on December 12, drawing massive audiences across Nigeria and Ghana.

FilmOne Entertainment, the movie’s distributor, confirmed the milestone via its official Instagram page, describing the achievement as a landmark moment for the industry and appreciating cinema-goers for their overwhelming support.
The distributor also revealed that the Funke Akindele-produced project is now the fastest Nollywood title to surpass the ₦500 million mark, adding to its list of records for the year.

Behind The Scenes, which centres on the social theme of black tax, stars Scarlet Gomez in the lead role and features an ensemble cast including Funke Akindele, Iyabo Ojo, Destiny Etiko, Tobi Bakre, Uche Montana, Uzor Arukwe, Ini Dima-Okojie, Mr Macaroni, Ibrahim Chatta, Kamo State, and reality stars Handi and Wanni Danbaki.
The film had earlier crossed ₦200 million during its opening weekend, setting a new benchmark as the biggest opening weekend for a Nollywood film in 2025.
