The latest incident comes barely a week after a similar fire disaster rocked the Balogun Market area of Lagos. On Christmas Eve, a blaze that reportedly started at the Great Nigeria Insurance building on Martins Street spread rapidly to several nearby structures, causing extensive losses to traders.
