Eko Hot Blog reports that the comprehensive exercise covers public schools, Primary Health Care Centres (PHCs), markets, and motor parks across the length and breadth of Epe Local Government.
It targets mosquitoes, rodents, and other disease-causing pests that pose serious health risks to residents, particularly as the community prepares to usher in the New Year.
The fumigation exercise is designed to guarantee safe learning environments for school children, hygienic healthcare facilities, healthy marketplaces for traders and buyers, and sanitary motor parks for commuters and transport operators.
Speaking on the initiative, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Princess Surah Animashaun, FHTI, reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to environmental cleanliness and disease prevention.
“Environmental sanitation and preventive healthcare remain top priorities of this administration,” she said.
“Initiatives such as regular fumigation are critical to sustaining a healthy, productive, and prosperous Epe.”
She further emphasized that proactive measures are more effective than reactive responses.
“By preventing the spread of diseases before they occur, we are protecting lives and securing a healthier future for our people,” the Chairman added.
Residents have been urged to cooperate fully with fumigation teams, ensure easy access to affected areas, and strictly observe all safety guidelines throughout the exercise.
The initiative once again reflects an administration built on progress, driven by vision, and deeply committed to the well-being of its people.
