- Nigerians Will Give Tinubu Another Chance in 2027 – Abejide
- Says poverty levels in the country had reduced significantly
- Noted that workers across the country were now being paid their salaries promptly
The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Customs, Leke Abejide, has expressed confidence that the 2027 presidential election will be an easy victory for President Bola Tinubu.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Abejide stated this on Friday during an interview on Politics Today, a programme aired on Channels Television.

According to him, Nigerians are satisfied with the performance of the Tinubu administration and are likely to give the President another mandate in 2027.
He claimed that poverty levels in the country had reduced significantly, attributing the development to the government’s ongoing economic reforms.
“Poverty has reduced below more than 50 per cent. Many people can see that this government is working and that the reforms are beginning to yield results,” Abejide said.

He added that food inflation had eased and that workers across the country were now being paid their salaries promptly.
“Food inflation has passed, and people are happier. Workers, especially at the state and federal levels, are receiving their salaries. I do not think there is any state in Nigeria today where civil servants are being owed,” he stated.
Abejide said that with the expected impact of further reforms in the new year, President Tinubu would enjoy widespread support by the time the 2027 elections are held.
“With all this and what is still to come, by the time the election arrives, it will be a walkover,” he added.
