President Bola Tinubu has departed Abu Dhabi for Nigeria following his participation in the 2026 edition of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW).
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the President left his hotel in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday for the return journey home, according to a post on X by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

ADSW 2026 brought together world leaders, policymakers, industry experts and civil society actors to deliberate on sustainable development, climate action and global energy transition.
The annual forum, held in the UAE capital, focused on strengthening international cooperation on climate resilience, clean energy financing and innovative approaches to sustainable economic growth.
President Tinubu attended the high-level summit at the invitation of the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the event, he engaged global partners on issues bordering on Nigeria’s energy transition agenda, climate finance and broader economic cooperation.

The President had earlier departed Nigeria on Sunday, December 28, 2025, travelling from Lagos to Europe for a brief end-of-year break before proceeding to Abu Dhabi for the sustainability summit.
With the conclusion of the week-long event, Tinubu is expected to resume his official duties upon arrival in Nigeria.
