Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has released his predictions for the Premier League Matchday 37 fixtures, backing several top-flight sides to secure important results as the season nears its conclusion.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the pundit tipped Aston Villa to edge Liverpool 2-1 at Villa Park in the opening fixture of the weekend, a result he believes could strengthen Villa’s momentum heading into the final round of the season.
Attention then turns to Old Trafford, where Manchester United are predicted to record a narrow 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest.
