EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to Tinubu, the operation was carried out overnight within the Lake Chad Basin and targeted the hideout of the wanted terrorist leader.
The President stated that the military raid led to the killing of Al-Manuki alongside several of his lieutenants, describing the development as a major breakthrough in ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region.
In a statement jointly signed by the President of the group, Anthony Idoko, and its Secretary-General, Amos Adamu, the organisation praised the military for what it described as renewed commitment and improved tactical coordination in recent operations across the North-Central and North-East regions.
The group specifically applauded Oluyede for providing visible operational leadership and strategic coordination in the ongoing counter-insurgency and anti-banditry campaigns.
According to the Middle Belt Conscience Guard, intensified offensives, intelligence-driven operations and stronger collaboration among security agencies have started yielding positive results in parts of the Middle Belt and other affected regions.
“The recent momentum recorded by the armed forces shows that coordinated military pressure remains one of the most effective responses against insurgency, banditry, and other violent criminal activities threatening national stability,” the statement read.

The organisation also urged security agencies to sustain the current momentum in order to consolidate gains recorded in the fight against terrorism and insecurity across the country.
