EKO HOT BLOG reports that the former Kano governor said the meeting provided an opportunity for both leaders to discuss important partisan and national issues affecting the country and the party.
According to him, he also welcomed Obi back from what he described as a productive international trip.
“Yesterday, I had the honour of hosting my brother and partner, His Excellency Peter Obi, at my residence in Abuja.
“I warmly welcomed him back from his highly productive international trip, and we engaged in frank and productive discussions on key partisan and national issues,” Kwankwaso stated.
Speaking on the state of the NDC, Kwankwaso stressed that the party remained united and focused on its objectives despite differing opinions among members and leaders.
He called on party stakeholders to continue demonstrating maturity, tolerance and a willingness to make sacrifices in the interest of achieving their common goals.
The former governor maintained that unity and cooperation among party leaders were essential to strengthening the party and advancing its vision for Nigeria.
“Our party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), remains united. As leaders, we must continue to demonstrate maturity by making the necessary sacrifices and tolerating our differences in pursuit of our shared goal.
“We are resolute in this mission, and together, we shall ensure that Nigeria is OK,” he added.

The meeting comes amid ongoing political realignments and consultations among opposition figures ahead of future political engagements, with both leaders reaffirming their commitment to the party’s objectives and national development.
