Two-time heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua has signed a commercial representation agreement with CAA Sports, marking a significant step in expanding his business portfolio as he prepares for his return to boxing following his recovery from a serious road accident.
The deal, completed in partnership with Joshua’s management company, 258 Group, will see CAA Sports oversee the British-Nigerian boxer’s global commercial interests, including endorsement deals, public speaking opportunities and publishing projects, Eko Hot Blog reports.

As part of the partnership, Freddie Cunningham, Managing Director of 258 Group, has been appointed Head of Client Strategy at CAA Sports Talent Group.
Based in London, Cunningham will lead Joshua’s commercial strategy while supporting the agency’s wider athlete management operations. He will report to CAA Sports’ Head of International Talent, Roman Di Somma.

Joshua now joins a high-profile list of athletes and sports personalities represented by CAA Sports, including football manager José Mourinho, football stars Robert Lewandowski, Son Heung-min and Cole Palmer, Formula One driver Liam Lawson, skateboarder Sky Brown, former England defender Gary Neville, broadcaster Laura Woods and Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.
The 36-year-old former unified heavyweight champion has remained one of boxing’s biggest global figures since turning professional in 2013 and winning multiple world titles.
His most recent fight came in December 2025 when he defeated Jake Paul by sixth-round stoppage in a high-profile contest streamed live on Netflix from Miami.
Later that month, Joshua was involved in a tragic road accident in Nigeria that claimed the lives of his personal trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami.
Joshua sustained injuries in the crash but has since recovered and resumed preparations for his return to the ring.
The former champion is scheduled to make his comeback on July 25 when he faces Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia.

Outside boxing, Joshua has continued to grow his business empire through investments in technology, real estate, media production, health and performance sectors.
He has also secured endorsement partnerships with leading global brands, including Under Armour, Audemars Piguet, Hugo Boss, Jaguar Land Rover, DAZN, EA Sports, Meta and Beats by Dre.
Despite the new agreement with CAA Sports, Joshua’s boxing career, business interests and family office will remain under the management of 258 Group.
His communications will continue to be handled by Soapbox, legal affairs by Level, while Matchroom Boxing will remain responsible for his promotional activities.
